This year marked the 60th anniversary of the legendary Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance in Carmel, California. To celebrate the occasion, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars developed a bespoke Phantom Drophead Coupé at the company's Goodwood manufacturing plant, UK. The car was unveiled at the event by Rolls-Royce CEO Torsten Müller-Ötvös and Chief Designer Ian Cameron, and was sold within minutes.

The car is painted in a 1-off Bespoke exterior colour chosen Stillwater Blue equally a tribute to Stillwater Cove on the Monterey Peninsula. It also features a navy blueish soft acme lined with cashmere and is upholstered in a Crème Light leather interior. Interior wood fittings are equanimous of a hit cross-banded Santos Pallisander veneer contrasted with a argent pinstripe inlay.

What is Rolls-Royce Bespoke?

When a Rolls-Royce customer commissions a Phantom, they demand more than than simply a list of standard features and options. Fulfilling that need for a personalised service falls to the Bespoke team. Bespoke includes the evolution of anything from the most understated characteristic such as personalised tread plates, contrast stitching and seat piping to a assuming expression in the form of personalised veneers and unique exterior paints.

Then there are stunning creations like baggage, glassware and an opulent picnic set, all designed in-house at Goodwood. "This 60th Ceremony Special Edition is the apotheosis of our Bespoke capabilities in Goodwood," explains Torsten Müller-Ötvös, "It demonstrates the ability of our designers and artisans to create something admittedly appropriate for an occasion and ultimately, something exceptional to cherish forever."
